GoodNotes is a software to turn both your computer and your Surface into a real virtual notebook to take notes in the most comfortable and quickest way possible. What does that mean? Very simple: to take notes with the app, just write directly with your fingertip or the on-screen stylus, or using the mouse (although this option is less comfortable, of course).

To use GoodNotes you must first identify yourselves. You can either use a Microsoft or a Google account, and you'll get the same features regardless of which option you choose. The good thing is that all the notebooks you create and any changes will be stored in your account, so you can access them later from another device. This is particularly useful considering that the app is also available on Mac, iOS and Android.

The first thing that strikes you about GoodNotes is the large number of options you have when creating a new notebook. You can choose from lots of different types of paper: writing papers, white papers, planning papers, etc. You can also choose between several different covers. All in all, you can give a personalized and, above all, very elegant look to all your notebooks. The goal is to make you feel like you are using a real notebook.

Once you have opened your virtual notebook, you can start drawing on it with different tools. The most useful tool, of course, is the fountain pen, which can be set with different thicknesses and colors. But you can use markers, erasers or geometric shapes. You can even easily insert your own photographs and images. You can add comments and footnotes with a single touch, which is very useful.

GoodNotes is an excellent app for taking quick notes and creating virtual notebooks. It is not so much a program dedicated to writing, but a tool that will make it easier to take notes in an instant. For the same reason, although the program works perfectly well on desktop computers with a mouse, it is more oriented to Surfaces and graphic tablets.
